Who Are We?
We are José and LaToya Rodríguez, the co-founders of Millennium Marriage and hosts of the Millennium Marriage Podcast. After more than 20 years in a relationship, 14 years of marriage, and 13 years of learning how to parent our two handsome sons, we heard God speaking to us about how he wanted to use our marriage to be a blessing to others. With that said, this is totally God’s plan and we are just being obedient and glad to be along for the ride, because we know that His plans are greater!
Our journey and testimony are why we are here; to share how God has brought us through different seasons of our relationship and some of the tools and concepts that have sustained us along the way. We started out with small group meetings to create a safe space for engaged and married couples to encourage each other to grow in their relationships. As that endeavor expanded, we were blessed with the opportunity to become ordained officiants and support couples starting out on their marital journey. We continue this work today as certified SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) facilitators. In addition, we started The Millennium Marriage Podcast, which we believe will be a beneficial resource for couples to reflect on challenges and strengths that make them who they are and learn how to grow deeper in their relationship.
Keeping God at the center of our marriage is and will always be the sharpest tool in the shed. Because of this, we’ve discovered some other essential strategies that are necessary to ensure that our marriage endures the test of time and is a reflection of Christ and His church. Ultimately, we want a marriage that will last a lifetime, hence the name Millennium Marriage, and we want to support other couples as they navigate through what it takes to make marriage work the way God intended!
